Where you'll be working Royal North Shore, St Leonards. What you'll be doing The Executive Officer (EO) is responsible to the Director providing timely, effective, high level and confidential secretarial, administrative, project and related support services to the Director and contributes to the efficient overall functioning of the department. The position acts as a primary point of contact for both internal and external clients and vendors. The EO is required to fulfil secretariat duties for various committees. This involves the compilation and distribution of agenda papers, recording and transcribing of minutes, development of action Item logs following-up on action Items and obtaining sign-off of minutes from the chair. The EO is responsible for the effective management of the Aboriginal Health portfolio, administrative management of functions that deliver a full range of office services to the Senior Management Aboriginal health, including matters to do executive correspondence, diary management, meeting coordination, travel, procurement and records administration. The position is also responsible for allocated fleet vehicles and provides rostering support in HealthRoster. The position will also provide support for the Director and other officers across a range of projects as required. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria : • This is an identified Aboriginal position; applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent through proof of Aboriginality. Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. • Demonstrate high level written communication, including the ability to draft briefs, letters, emails and reports. • Demonstrate highly developed organisational skills and the ability to successfully manage competing issues and meet deadlines.
