About this role

What is the General Temporary Employment Register? From time-to-time TEQSA requires people across a range of classification levels and business areas to fill short-term vacancies caused by staff movements or to assist with a temporary increase in workload. To help us achieve this, we maintain a register of interested applicants for use by managers to fill temporary (non-ongoing) roles up to a maximum period of 18 months. Opportunities vary across classification levels and may be full-time or part-time for a specified term or a specified task based on TEQSA’s needs. Candidates may register interest in temporary employment at the APS Level 4-6 classifications and/or the Executive Level 1-2 classifications in the following areas: • Accounting/Finance • Administration/Executive Support/Secretariat Support • Audit/Evaluation • Communications/Marketing/Public Relations/Media/Journalism • Corporate Risk/Quality Assurance • Customer Service/Call Centre • Governance/Reporting/Parliamentary • Human Resources/Workplace Relations/Training/Employment/Health, Safety and Wellbeing • Information/Communications Technology (ICT)/Data Management • Information/Records Management • Legal • Policy/Planning/Research • Procurement/Contract Management • Project/Programme Management Our ideal candidates TEQSA is looking for high-performing team members who are passionate about contributing to the excellence of Australian higher education and who demonstrate the following: • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively with colleagues • High level analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail • Strong digital literacy
