The Role As an APS 4 Logistics Officer – Governance and Assurance, you support the integrity, accountability and effective governance of logistics operations at Joint Logistics Unit – Victoria Puckapunyal. • Apply Defence policies, procedures and instructions to support governance, assurance and compliance activities. • Provide advice and administrative support on logistics governance matters in accordance with established procedures. • Conduct stocktakes, governance checks and record reviews to ensure compliance and data integrity. • Identify discrepancies, compliance issues and opportunities for process improvement. • Investigate routine non-compliance matters, gather evidence, and contribute to reports and recommendations. • Support the implementation and monitoring of corrective actions to improve compliance and strengthen internal controls. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance processes, assurance activities and local procedures. • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit readiness, transparency and accountability. • Build effective stakeholder relationships, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement to achieve timely outcomes. About our Team Joint Logistics Unit - Victoria at Puckapunyal delivers theatre logistics services: including warehousing, distribution and materiel maintenance to Defence customers nationally and overseas. As part of the governance and assurance team, you will assist with governance and assurance mandated tasks and inventory management activities involving various stakeholders. This is undertaken within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence’s, mission and business objectives. The team is an integrated workforce of Australian Public Service, Australian Defence Force and Industry Partners that provide office and warehouse duties, who deliver effective customer centric logistic services to our regional and national customer base.
