About the branch The Corporate Branch is responsible for the Corporate functions of the Parliamentary Workplace Support Service (PWSS) including financial management, legal services, human resources (HR), ICT, security and property. The Branch works closely with internal stakeholders and shared service providers to ensure the agency operates effectively, remains compliant with legislative and policy obligations, and is equipped to support the evolving needs of PWSS. About the team The Enabling Services team plays a critical role in ensuring PWSS operates safely, securely and efficiently. The team is responsible for managing the agency's HR, Procurement, ICT, security, property, records management and shared service arrangements, while supporting compliance with whole-of-government requirements. Working across a broad portfolio, the team provides support to staff across the agency and maintains important relationships with service providers and partner agencies, including the Department of Parliamentary Services and other Commonwealth entities. The team embraces a continuous improvement mindset and is focused on delivering practical, responsive and high-quality corporate services. Team members gain unique insight into how the agency operates and contribute directly to organisational efficiency, security and risk management. About the role The Enabling Services team is seeking a highly motivated and capable APS6 Senior Advisor to oversee the agency's ICT and Security functions. This is a unique opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio that combines technology, cyber security, protective security, risk management and corporate operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, executives, shared service providers and external government agencies to ensure that PWSS systems, services and security arrangements remain effective, compliant and fit for purpose. The role requires strong judgement, initiative and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You will play an important role in supporting the agency's operational resilience and ensuring staff have access to secure, reliable systems and services that enable them to deliver on the mission of the PWSS. • Acting as the primary point of contact for ICT operational matters and liaising with shared service providers to resolve issues and maintain service delivery. • Coordinating cyber and protective security activities to support compliance with the PSPF and other government requirements. • Maintaining security documentation, registers, reporting frameworks and assurance activities. • Coordinating responses to ICT and security incidents, including risk assessment and mitigation activities. • Managing ICT assets, software licensing, inventories and system governance processes. • Supporting emergency preparedness, business continuity and emergency management activities, including maintaining response documentation. • Preparing briefings, reports, compliance returns and executive correspondence on ICT, cyber security and security matters. • Developing productive relationships with stakeholders, including shared service providers and security partners. • Identifying and implementing improvements to corporate processes, service delivery and operational efficiency. • Undertaking other duties consistent with the role's responsibilities, objectives and Work Level Standards.
