About this role

The Role The Collins Submarine Program (CSMP) plays a critical role in maintaining one of Australia’s most important strategic capabilities. Our vision is to ensure Australia retains an enduring, effective and highly capable Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) fleet. We are seeking a motivated and collaborative professional to join our Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Team. In this role, you will contribute to the sustainment of the Collins Class fleet by providing guidance, planning and conduct materiel and logistics related assurance tasks. Working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, you will help ensure submarine sustainment requirements are effectively managed throughout the capability lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: • Reviewing and validating Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products to support Collins Class configuration changes; • Assisting with the management and maintenance of the Navy Allowances through updates, amendments and verification activities. About our Team The Collins Submarine Program within the Naval Shipbuilding & Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class Submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation. Our Ideal Candidate We are seeking candidates with relevant experience and demonstrable knowledge in the materiel and logistics discipline. Our ideal candidate will: • Have relevant experience and demonstrable knowledge in Integrated Logistics; • Be accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex materiel and logistics work within an integrated workforce; • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and organisational requirements in the delivery of business outcomes; • Be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility to work through tasks and projects to meet deadlines; • Able to interpret and provide advice within their function area based on legislation, policy and procedures; • Undertake research and analysis, conduct reviews and perform procedural work to achieve results; • Work collaboratively with stakeholders (both internal and external to defence) and subject matter experts to resolve logistics matters; • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills; • Have exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy; and • Demonstrate commitment to the Defence Behaviours.
