About this role

The Role The EL 1 Pricing and Cost Analyst is a key role within the Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch, responsible for the financial management of projects, including major Government initiatives delivered under the National Defence Strategy. The position provides expert financial and procurement advice to senior Defence leadership on complex and strategically significant matters. It is accountable for ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act), while leading the development, review and assurance of financial documentation. As a senior leader this position manages and develops a high-performing team, sets strategic priorities and builds strong relationships across Defence and external stakeholders. The role drives continuous improvement in financial and procurement practices, strengthens organisational capability and leads the resolution of complex issues through the application of sound judgement, financial expertise and strategic insight. This ensures the effective management of resources, risks and business outcomes across the MIWS Branch portfolio of projects. About our Team MIWS Branch under Major Surface Combatants and Combat Systems Division is an exciting and complex environment to work in, offering a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic organisations within Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group. We work across both Acquisition and Sustainment environments to develop and deliver products into new shipbuilding programs and to provide update/upgrade products to the existing RAN fleet, giving staff exposure to a wide variety of high profile maritime projects.
