We offer a range of employment benefits to support our staff, which may include: • Rostered days off • Flexible work arrangements • Salary packaging The Opportunity We have an opportunity for a pro-active and solutions-focused individual to assist with procurement and delivery of capital projects for Council’s assets at all points of the project cycle from detailed planning to delivery and commissioning, including representing BVSC in the management of consultants and contractors. As a Project Manager, you will: • Prepare briefs and tender documentation calling for preliminary design, concept design, detailed design, or construction services. • Understand and communicate required scope of projects and necessary tasks and activities to deliver projects. • Manage and administer the contract with the contractor or consultant. • Monitor progress against specification and program and evaluate and administer contract payments. About You We are seeking an individual who holds a Bachelor degree in an engineering, architecture or project / construction management discipline appropriate to the position and has experience delivering works across the project cycle (e.g. tasks required for a safe and compliant concept design in NSW). You will have the following skills and experience; • Sound understanding of contract management principals including risk management, WHS and EEO. • Ability to manage relationships with contractors and professional consultants in order to achieve results. • Well-developed skills in the interpretation of detailed engineering plans, specifications and quality systems. • High level written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Office software, MS Project, project planning software and spatial information software. Benefits This is a fixed term, full-time position working 35 hours per week for a period of two (2) years. The total remuneration package for this position commences at $125,975.85 gross per annum (inclusive), comprising of: • $2,097.50 per week base salary • $251.70 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%) • $73.41 per week Civil Liability Allowance (calculated at 3.5% of base salary) Additional benefits for this position include: • Leaseback vehicle • Rostered day off scheme (nine day fortnight) • Annual Award salary increases and performance reviews • Salary packaging program (SmartSalary) • Wellbeing Initiatives – Fitness Passport, Employee Assistance Program, Telus Health App, social club, health monitoring and annual flu vaccinations.
