The Role The Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) is seeking a motivated and capable professional to join its Headquarters Coordination team. In this role, you will support the delivery of the Defence Aviation Safety Program (DASP) by coordinating activities, managing information flow, and ensuring high quality administrative and communication outcomes across the organisation. You will work in a fast-paced, structured environment, contributing to aviation safety outcomes that support Defence operations. As a Promotions, Engagement & Communications Officer, you will: • Manage the Authority’s Registry function and undertake records management activities to ensure information is accurately captured, securely maintained, and readily accessible in accordance with organisational policies, legislative requirements, and compliance obligations. • Manage and maintain shared group mailboxes, and coordinate tasks with multiple directorates • Provide high-quality administrative activities • Prepare and contribute to reports, briefs, and communications • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Work independently to manage priorities and deliver outcomes • Identify opportunities to improve and develop processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives About our Team The DASA is responsible for enhancing and promoting the safety of military aviation. This objective is primarily achieved through the implementation of the DASP that supports compliance with statutory safety obligations and assures the effective management of aviation safety risks. DASA plays a critical role in supporting safe and effective Defence aviation operations. With this role, you will be part of a professional and collaborative team within DASA Headquarters located in Melbourne CDB. The team works across DASAs complex and multidisciplinary environment, providing coordination of DASP wide activities. As a part of the HQ you will work within a blended workforce that brings together Navy, Army, Air Force, and APS personnel across DASA’s Melbourne, Canberra and Amberley locations. Our Ideal Candidate We are seeking a proactive and organised professional with strong communication, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills. You will have experience managing information and records within a structured or regulated environment and be able to deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes while managing competing priorities. You will demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while building effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Experience preparing reports, briefs and communications, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development, will be highly regarded.
