Purchasing Support Officer Location: Melton, VIC Rate: $51 per hour + Super Duration: 3-Month Temporary Assignment We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Support Officer to join a Local Government organisation based in Melton on a 3-month temporary assignment. As an integral member of the Procurement Team, you will contribute to the delivery of a centre-led procurement service by providing administrative support across purchasing and procurement functions. This role supports both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and procurement requirements. Key Responsibilities • Provide administration support to the Procurement and Purchasing Team. • Assist internal and external stakeholders with procurement and purchasing enquiries. • Process purchasing activities through Council systems. • Support the administration of corporate supplier accounts and credit cards. • Maintain accurate records and data entry across procurement systems. • Ensure compliance with Council policies, procedures, and procurement guidelines. • Contribute to the efficient operation of procurement and purchasing processes. About You • Previous experience within a Procurement, Purchasing, or Administration function. • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment. • A proactive approach and strong commitment to customer service.
