Working within the Midwifery Group Practice and Support (MAPS) model, you'll have the opportunity to provide continuity of care while making a meaningful difference to the lives of women, babies and their families. • Work within an established continuity of care midwifery model • Be part of a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team • Deliver care in modern maternity and birthing facilities • Contribute to a culturally safe service for our diverse community • Access ongoing education, professional development and career progression What you'll be doing As a Registered Midwife in the MAPS team, you will provide evidence-based, woman and family-centred care across the pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey. Working collaboratively with women, families and the multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver high-quality care that supports positive health outcomes while promoting continuity, education and clinical excellence. • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised midwifery care • Provide continuity of care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services • Collaborate with women, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams • Support students, Assistants in Midwifery and fellow midwives through education and mentoring • Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement and culturally responsive care Previous applicants need not re-apply How to Apply Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. Essential Criteria • Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Selection Criteria • Identify your area of specialty or interest from the following selection - birthing, maternity, women's health clinics, midwifery at home, midwifery continuity of care models. • Recent relevant experience in a clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD. • Provide name and contact details (phone number and email) of two referees, one of which must be a current line manager. • What does the NSW Health Code of Conduct and CORE values mean to you? • What does woman centred care mean to you? • Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients. • Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail. • Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.
