The Residential Care Worker position is based in a residential rehabilitation facility in Chipping Norton, where clients undertake rehabilitation after sustaining a brain injury. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with clients to support them in managing ongoing challenges with daily tasks and activities, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and maximise their independence. • Work within a supportive multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality rehabilitation services. • Assist clients with acquired brain injuries to manage daily tasks and activities and work towards their individual goals. • Build meaningful relationships while supporting clients to increase their independence, confidence and quality of life. • Participate in a rotating roster to provide ongoing support within a residential rehabilitation setting. You will bring strong interpersonal skills, a patient-centred approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for clients. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families and colleagues. • Patience, persistence, compassion and empathy in supporting clients to achieve their rehabilitation goals. • Consistent and reliable, with the ability to work with limited supervision and/or in isolation. • Relevant tertiary qualification or Certificate IV in Health, Disability or a related field. • Experience supporting adults with an acquired brain injury during rehabilitation and a willingness to work a rotating roster. Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. • Recognized Degree or other relevant qualification deemed appropriate by the employer. Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer work or willingness to work towards completing • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of working with and supporting adults during the rehabilitation continuum, preferably adults with an acquired brain injury. • Demonstrated ability to manage workload priorities and work with limited supervision and/or in isolation. • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including proficient computer literacy in a range of programs. • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
