About this role

We are seeking enthusiastic Risk and Intelligence Officers to join our Compliance and Engagement group. You will be a reliable professional who can apply established processes and procedures, work accurately under general direction, exercise sound judgement and collaborate effectively to support team outcomes. You will uphold APS Values and contribute positively to a supportive team culture while delivering quality work within defined frameworks. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our group in a variety of roles. In these roles, you’ll apply established frameworks, policies and procedures to support compliance and integrity outcomes. This includes analysing information and data to identify risks, trends and issues across taxation, superannuation, fraud and financial environments, and contribute to written products aligned with organisational standards. You’ll be responsible for prioritising your work within defined parameters, exercising judgement, and escalating issues appropriately, while also working collaboratively with stakeholders and team members to support the achievement of team outcomes. As a Risk and Intelligence Officer, you will support integrated risk and intelligence activities by bringing together data, information and insights from multiple sources. You’ll assist in linking risk identification with intelligence findings to inform decision-making and contribute to the development of joined-up risk and intelligence products that support compliance objectives. As a Risk Officer, you will support the application of risk management frameworks to identify, assess and treat risks in line with ATO policies and enterprise risk practices and contribute to risk assessments, reviews and treatment strategies, and assist in the refinement of risk models, rules and profiling approaches. As an Intelligence Analyst, you will support intelligence activities across the intelligence cycle, including collection, research, analysis and dissemination of information. You’ll apply structured analytical techniques to interpret data and contribute to the preparation of intelligence reports and products. We embrace the strength of diversity – through our people and the perspectives they bring. We are committed to inclusive recruitment practices and encourage applications from people with disability or neurodivergence, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and individuals from all backgrounds. Reasonable adjustments can be provided throughout the recruitment process.
