About this role

About the role Chandler Macleod is seeking multiple Road Workers to join a state government organisation to support infrastructure projects around Gundagai. This opportunity will see you working on a major concrete slab replacement project as part of a dedicated road maintenance team. This casual role offers an immediate start with full time hours and a 9-day fortnight. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and are looking to gain experience on a significant civil infrastructure project. Prior concrete experience is highly regarded but not essential, as full support and direction will be provided by the Team Leader. Duties • Perform a variety of routine and repetitive physical labouring tasks as part of a road maintenance crew • Assist with concrete slab replacement activities and general roadworks duties • Safely operate hand and power tools, machinery, and equipment as directed • Carry out tasks individually and as part of a team under the guidance of the Team Leader • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices • Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and other project-related activities as required Skills and Experience • Previous experience in civil construction, road maintenance, labouring, or concrete works preferred • Current Construction White Card • Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (WOF) certification • Current Class C Driver's Licence or higher • Current Silica Awareness Training certification (essential) • Current Traffic Controller (TC) ticket or willingness to obtain • Ability to pass a National Police Check • Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work in varying conditions • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively within a team environment Benefits • Opportunity to work on a major government infrastructure project • 9-day fortnight providing excellent work-life balance • Full-time hours of 76 hours per fortnight How to apply Sound interesting?
