This full-time position of Research Officer is an integral member of the research team within the Institute of Academic Surgery (IAS). Under the guidance of the IAS Executive, they will help with data management, planning, implementation and coordination of various research studies conducted within the SLHD Surgical Robotic Program along with other research requirements of the IAS. The robotic research studies will be varied and will require the Research Officer to work on multiple projects at a given time across diverse areas. This will include the development and implementation of research protocols, ethics submissions, project management, patient recruitment and follow-up and data collection. Ideal Candidate • Health related degree or equivalent experience. • Demonstrated previous research experience in clinical, public health or health services research. • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate successfully with patients, their relatives and clinicians and working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
