As a School Crossing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in keeping school-aged children, families, and pedestrians safe during busy morning and afternoon school times. This is a rewarding position where you’ll become a familiar and trusted face in your local community. Positions are available across the City of Monash, with placements offered as close to your home as possible based on operational requirements and availability. About the role • Assist children and pedestrians to safely cross the road during peak school hours • Work outdoors and engage positively with the local community • Morning shifts between 8:00am – 9:00am and/or afternoon shifts between 3:00pm – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday during school terms • Opportunity to work at multiple locations within the council area when required To be successful, you will • Be friendly, reliable, community-minded, and confident communicating with people of all ages • Be available for morning and/or afternoon shifts during school terms • Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Children Check • Be flexible to work across different crossing locations if needed • Be able to pass a Police Check and Medical Clearance What’s in it for you? • Part-time maximum-term contract • Accrual of Annual Leave and Sick/Carer’s Leave • Superannuation paid in addition to your hourly rate • Consistent hours that support work–life balance • A role where you genuinely contribute to community safety and wellbeing If you’re ready to start a role that’s rewarding, flexible, and community focused, we’d love to hear from you.
