Sydney Government / Local Government State Government • Parramatta, NSW | Hybrid Working (50%) • Contract: 13 July 2026 - 31 December 2026 • Competitive daily rate of up to $625 per day Senior Project Officer – Repair & Maintenance Program Parramatta, NSW | Hybrid Working (50%) About the Role A NSW Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to support the delivery of a large-scale Repair and Maintenance Program across the Western Region. This is a hands-on project delivery role requiring strong contractor management, stakeholder engagement, contract administration, and governance experience. You will be responsible for overseeing repair and maintenance works, coordinating project activities, and ensuring quality outcomes are delivered for communities across the region. Key Responsibilities • Manage the Principal Contractor delivering repair and maintenance works across the Western Region. • Oversee project delivery to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. • Manage scoping activities and contract administration requirements. • Lead and facilitate Project Control Group (PCG) meetings with community stakeholders. • Conduct regular property and site inspections to monitor progress and quality of completed works. • Prepare project documentation, reports, briefings, and status updates. • Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations. • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies. • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: • Demonstrated experience in project management, project coordination, or program delivery. • Strong contract management and contractor oversight experience. • Experience within construction, maintenance, infrastructure, property, asset management, housing, or government environments. • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Experience undertaking site inspections and quality assurance activities. • A current and valid Driver’s Licence. • Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the Western Region.
