About this role
As an ACIC Psychologist, you will deliver psychological services using your assessment skills and psychological risk knowledge. You will be collaborative and able to demonstrate excellent ethical boundaries, good judgement, effective communication, adaptability and have the ability to build effective relationships. Some domestic travel may be required. The role is based in Organisational Psychology. Organisational Psychology delivers a range of psychological services including assessment and management of personnel security risk, assessment of individual wellbeing, promotion of resilience, management of vicarious trauma risk, psychological assessment and advice in the recruitment of applicants to ACIC and psycho-educational training. The position is an opportunity for highly capable, adaptable and resilient individuals to apply their professional evidence-based skills to improve ACIC outcomes. • Perform a range of psychological assessments • Provide a range of psychological assessment advice and aftercare advice on wellbeing issues • Provide a range of psychological advice to staff exposed to explicit or objectionable material • Provide a range of psychological advice to the Agency in support of recruitment and management of staff • Provide other services and specialist input Your skills and capabilities We invite applications from people with the following experience, skills and attributes: • Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments using case formulation methodology • Demonstrated training and experience in the clinical assessment of mental health issues • Demonstrated ability to communicate psychological opinions and advice in support of organisational functions • Strong ethical boundaries and well-developed problem-solving skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written • Well-developed collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to work well in teams • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and fluctuating workloads.
