About this role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our government client technology team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about automation, cloud technologies, system reliability, and continuous improvement. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of critical AWS-based platforms that support websites, identity services, and backend APIs. You will collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to improve operational efficiency, drive automation initiatives, and deliver highly resilient services. Key Responsibilities • Support and maintain critical cloud-based platforms and services hosted in AWS. • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational processes and improve system reliability. • Monitor system performance, availability, and health using monitoring and alerting tools. • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures. • Ensure the ongoing reliability, scalability, and availability of websites, identity services, and backend APIs. • Document operational procedures, system configurations, and support processes. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. • Assist with system administration, cloud infrastructure support, and networking activities. • Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: • Experience in programming and scripting, with a focus on developing automation solutions. • Strong experience supporting cloud services, system administration, and networking environments. • Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, and operational support tools. • Proven ability to automate manual processes and improve platform reliability and efficiency. • Experience supporting business-critical AWS environments and services. • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with experience conducting root cause analysis. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams. • A commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and staying current with emerging technologies.
