Systems Software Engineer – Burwood, VIC | Australian Citizen Required | 5 Days On-Site Join a major government telecommunications program for software engineering in Microsoft .NET and Angular / Blazor. Role: • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across video, software, and mission-critical systems, including remote/on-site customer support and system installation, configuration, and maintenance. • Design, build, and maintain backend (.NET C#, APIs, microservices) and frontend (Angular, Blazor) applications, while resolving network, streaming, database, and integration issues across Windows and Linux. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform root-cause analysis, automate processes, document solutions, and drive issues through to resolution while maintaining strong customer communication Responsibilities: • 5+ years of IT/System Engineering experience (infrastructure, servers, networking, system integration). • Strong IT foundation: Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation, networking. • Strong in the Azure cloud platform. • Strong .NET C# development skills. • Backend experience with REST APIs, WebSocket, SignalR, microservices, and SOA. • Frontend development experience with modern frameworks (Angular, Blazor, WebAssembly). • Knowledge of video technologies (IP cameras, video management systems, video encoding/decoding, RTSP, RTP, ONVIF). • Proficiency with SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL). • Proven experience with customer engagement at a technical level, including troubleshooting discussions, solution delivery, and stakeholder communication. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. • Strong ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
