About the Register The Department of Education Temporary Employment Register is open for individuals to register their interest in non-ongoing (temporary) employment opportunities with the department. The register enables the department to access suitable and experienced individuals for temporary employment opportunities. This is an expression of interest only and there is no guarantee that opportunities will become available. • Roles are only available on a temporary (non-ongoing) basis. • Non-ongoing contracts can be issued for an initial period of up to 12 months, with potential for one 6-month extension. • Opportunities for ongoing engagement or promotion under the Public Service Act 1999 are not available through this recruitment register. • You will only be contacted in the event a vacancy arises that matches your skills and experience, and your application is not a guarantee that an offer of employment will be made. • Applications remain active until 31 March 2027 . • We also encourage you to apply for any future vacancies through our careers portal .
