About this role

The Role Are you ready to shape the future of secure digital service delivery in Defence? Are you an experienced digital product development professional with a passion for user-centered design and delivering digital transformation solutions? As an APS5 UX/UI Form Designer, you will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of web forms and digital workflows. You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and designers to deliver intuitive, accessible, and effective digital experiences. You will contribute to the delivery of forms through the ServiceConnect platform and play a key role in ensuring solutions are user-friendly, efficient, and aligned with best practice design standards.? About our Team Forms Development and Digitisation sits within Digital Service Delivery and is responsible for the design, build, testing, and hosting of web forms across Defence. Our Directorate has a strong customer-first, user-centred, and agile focus, working closely with stakeholders to deliver simple, guided, and integrated digital solutions. Attributes and Skills we are looking for: • Has experience in UX/UI design, particularly in digital forms and business process workflows • Ideally has experience with Figma, Adobe Experience Manager, Azure DevOps, Creative Cloud stack including Adobe InDesign and Adobe XD • Experience working in Agile environments • Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and inclusive design • Enjoys solving problems and simplifying complex processes for users • Has strong communication skills and can work effectively with stakeholders • Is customer-focused and passionate about delivering intuitive digital experiences • Shows initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn • Works well in a team and contributes positively to team culture Most importantly, we are seeking a person with a positive attitude, a team focus and someone who can navigate the occasional stresses of a busy and technical role with good humour.
