Mid-Western Regional Council is seeking motivated and safety-focused Water & Sewer Operators to join our Operations team. We have opportunities available across Levels 1, 2 and 3 with appointment based on your qualifications, skills and experience. Level 1 - Entry Level Ideal for someone looking to start a career in the water industry. You'll bring: • Current Class C Driver Licence • School Certificate or equivalent qualification • Experience undertaking manual labour • Strong work ethic and willingness to participate in the on-call roster The starting salary being offered for this full-time position is $2,358.90 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $61,331.40 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience). Also, entitled to Higher Adverse Working Conditions of $40.58 per fortnight. Level 2 - Experienced Operator Ideal for applicants with experience maintaining water and sewer infrastructure. You'll bring: • Current MR Driver Licence • White Card • Certificate II & III in Water Industry Operations (or equivalent) • Demonstrated experience installing, operating and maintaining water and sewer networks • Strong communication, problem-solving and customer service skills • Ability to operate plant and field technology The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $2,487.30 - $2,799.30 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $64,669.80 - $72,781.80 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience). Also, entitled to Higher Adverse Working Conditions of $40.58 per fortnight. Level 3 - Senior Operator Ideal for highly experienced operators ready to lead by example. You'll bring: • Extensive experience operating and maintaining water and sewer infrastructure and treatment facilities • Current MR Driver Licence • White Card • Certificate II & III in Water Industry Operations (or equivalent) • Water Treatment and/or Wastewater Treatment Operator qualifications • NSW Health Fluoride Plant Operator Certificate • Experience using SCADA and telemetry systems • Ability to mentor and support team members The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $2,598.60 - $2,925.60 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $67,563.60 - $76,065.60 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience). Also, entitled to Higher Adverse Working Conditions of $40.580 per fortnight. Please note, you must complete a National Coordinated Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
