About The Role The Workforce Programs Specialist is responsible for leading, growing and continuously improving Council's early careers programs, ensuring they attract, develop and retain talented individuals who will contribute to our organisation and community. In this rewarding role, you will: • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Council's trainee, apprentice, cadet and graduate programs, from workforce planning and recruitment through to onboarding, development and program completion. • Partner with managers to identify workforce needs and develop sustainable talent pipelines that support Council's current and future workforce requirements. • Build strong relationships with training providers, educational institutions, government agencies and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality workforce development programs. • Coordinate participant learning and development, monitor progress and provide guidance and support to ensure successful program outcomes. • Manage program budgets, identify and secure available government funding and ensure all funding and compliance requirements are met. • Promote Council's early careers opportunities through marketing initiatives, careers events, schools and community engagement activities. • Monitor, evaluate and report on program performance, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and ensure programs remain contemporary, effective and aligned to organisational priorities. Who We're Looking For We're seeking a proactive and collaborative professional who is passionate about developing people and creating meaningful career pathways. You will: • Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business, Education or a related discipline, and/or demonstrate equivalent experience in workforce development, talent programs or a similar role. • Have experience coordinating workforce development, trainee, apprentice, cadet, graduate or early careers programs within a complex organisation. • Demonstrate strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. • Build trusted relationships with managers, training providers, government agencies and external stakeholders to achieve shared objectives. • Possess a sound understanding of relevant legislation, funding arrangements, compliance requirements and governance associated with workforce development programs.
