• 12 + 12 + 12month contract - September Start • TSPV or TSPA Security Clearance required • Canberra, ACT • SFIA 5 | Application Virtualisation | Windows SOE | SCCM | PowerShell Our client, a Federal Government agency delivering critical national security, border, immigration, cyber security, and citizenship services, is seeking an experienced Application & Endpoint Systems Administrator. Duties of the Application & Endpoint Systems Administrator. • Develop an application virtualisation design to deliver applications to existing environments; • Develop a third-party patching design. Integrate the third-party patching solution into Configuration Manager to provide automated patching; • Validate system and security compliance of existing applications and develop a strategy for uplifting applications and a patching cycle; • Provide SME advice to Digital Workspaces and in house training/overview where required; • Provide SME assistance to the Digital Workspaces team for the development and management of the organisations SOE’s, support during outages, and for known issues. Skills and Experience Required • Problem solving skills and a willingness to learn are core skills required for this role; • Previous experience in the maintenance of applications running on, and system administration of a Windows Desktop Environment, including development of Windows SOEs; • Knowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM); • Experience with engineering and deploying a streamlined portal solution to enable users to access critical desktop applications securely from a centralised web-based dashboard; • Proficiency with Microsoft Application Virtualisation, Application Packaging and PowerShell scripting; • Tertiary qualifications in a technology field highly desirable.
