We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and executive support within a respected Australian Government agency. About the Role: As the Executive Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to a senior executive within a high-profile branch responsible for investigations, legal services, oversight functions and complex stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the executive office by managing priorities, coordinating activities, and building strong relationships across the organisation. Key Responsibilities • Manage executive calendars, inboxes and appointments. • Coordinate domestic travel arrangements and itineraries. • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, correspondence and presentations. • Take accurate meeting minutes and follow up on action items. • Manage correspondence, enquiries and administrative requests. • Support branch administration, including onboarding, visitor management, stationery and mail services. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Provide assistance to other Executive Assistants and senior leaders as required. • Undertake additional administrative duties as directed. About You: You are a highly organised and adaptable Executive Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. You are confident working with senior executives and can manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality. You will demonstrate: • Previous experience providing executive or high-level administrative support. • Excellent organisational and time management skills. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships. • High attention to detail and sound judgement. • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines. • Professionalism, discretion and a commitment to confidentiality. • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to your work. What's on Offer • APS Level 4 • Salary: $78,947 – $83,576 plus superannuation • 8-month non-ongoing opportunity • Full-time or part-time arrangements considered • Canberra location • Opportunity to work alongside senior executives within a professional and collaborative environment. • Flexible working arrangements may be available, with attendance in the Canberra office required for part of the working week based on operational requirements.
