The Opportunity Join a dynamic and collaborative team as a Finance Business Partner, where your work will directly shape strategic decision making. There are multiple opportunities available at both APS5 and APS6 level, offered either as a Section 26 permanent transfer for existing APS employees or a 12 month non ongoing contract, with the potential for permanency. This opportunity offers a hybrid working arrangement with 1 to 2 days working from home, along with great benefits. It will also allow you to build meaningful relationships across key business areas, with high performers considered for acting opportunities. The Role As a Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include: • Providing financial advice, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support business decision making • Performing month end and year end processes including accruals, journals, and reconciliations, in line with reporting requirements • Partnering with business areas to understand activity drivers, support planning, and build strong stakeholder relationships • Delivering financial analysis, insights, and reporting on performance, risk, and key financial metrics • Supporting the development of business cases, funding bids, and financial strategies to support organisational priorities The Ideal Person We are seeking experienced Accountants or Finance Business Partners with strong analytical capability and excellent attention to detail. You will have strong communication skills, with experience in engaging stakeholders across a complex environment. Familiarity with SAP, TM1 or similar financial systems will be highly regarded. You may come from one of the following backgrounds: • Experience in a Big 4 or consulting environment supporting Federal Government clients • APS6 level experience as a Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner within a government environment, with strong tenure in each role • A high performing APS5 with strong acting experience at APS6 level, seeking a Section 26 transfer into a better structure Candidates must be Australian citizen with existing Baseline to be eligible for these roles.
