Make a meaningful difference while supporting people affected by institutional child sexual abuse. We are seeking APS5 Redress Officers to join the Decision Coordination Unit within the National Redress Scheme. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team that plays a critical role in supporting fair, timely and consistent decision-making for Redress applications As an APS5 Redress Officer, you will coordinate complex casework, manage sensitive documentation, liaise with a range of internal stakeholders, and provide high-quality administrative support within a fast-paced operational environment. You will exercise sound judgement, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work collaboratively to ensure decisions are supported by accurate and well-managed information. The Decision Coordination Unit is committed to continuous improvement and innovation. Candidates with experience using Microsoft Copilot, AI-assisted tools, workflow automation, or other digital technologies to improve administrative processes and increase efficiency are encouraged to apply Your Key Responsibilities • Coordinate the end-to-end administrative processes supporting Redress decision-making. • Prepare, review and manage sensitive case documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Monitor case workflows, prioritise competing tasks, and meet established service standards. • Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve enquiries, obtain information and support timely outcomes. • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements. • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. • Utilise technology, including AI and automation tools where appropriate, to enhance productivity and streamline administrative activities. • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. • Strong written communication and attention to detail when preparing and reviewing documentation. • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. • Sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy. • Experience working within government, regulatory, legal, case management or administrative environments is highly desirable. • A proactive approach to identifying efficiency's and improving business processes. • Experience using Microsoft Copilot, AI tools, automation platforms, or digital workflow technologies to improve administrative effectiveness will be highly regarded. Candidates should consider their capacity to manage the risks associated with working with this content on a day-to-day basis. As part of working on the Scheme, you will be required to declare any conflicts of interest in relation to the Scheme, upon commencement and then regular reviews while working on the Scheme.
