The Opportunity This position is offered as a 12-month non-ongoing contract opportunity. A key component of your role is to provide support and strategic advice on the development and management of the budgets including forecasting and month end reporting. You’ll be part of a collaborative team of professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and making a real impact. The Role As a Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include: • Acting as the primary conduit between the CFO and business areas to facilitate and manage effective working relationships • Delivering financial advice, analysis and assistance to key stakeholders to inform financial decision-making • Undertaking financial analysis to support business planning, projects and investment decisions • Preparing monthly financial reports for Senior Executive, including variance analysis, commentary and analysis of the full year forecast • Assisting and preparing month end processes for business • Engaging with stakeholders to identify risks and issues to inform and support robust business and finance processes • Coordinating and assisting with budget development and expenditure forecasting as well as long-term financial planning The Ideal Person You will be an astute Management Accountant with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate the ‘grey’ areas. You enjoy providing meaningful insights and analysis to business areas which will help facilitate better decisions for the organisation. You enjoy being proactive by asking the right questions and pre-empting the needs of your stakeholders. Alongside your technical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important to be successful as you will need to influence stakeholders and speak to non-financial team members. You will be known for the quality of work you deliver, as having a high attention to detail is essential. You will also be naturally curious in understanding the numbers and will lead others to deliver outcomes in tight deadlines. Relevant degree qualifications with a CA/CPA or strong progress towards will be highly regarded. Only Australian citizens will be considered for this role as an AGSVA baseline clearance will be required.
