About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and innovative professional to join the Redress Process Improvement Team. As an APS6 Redress Officer, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives by designing and implementing business solutions that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and service delivery across the National Redress Scheme. Working collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to automate manual processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and develop solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, process improvement, and leveraging technology to deliver practical business outcomes. Applicants with demonstrated capability at the APS5 level and a strong commitment to developing into an APS6 role are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop and maintain business solutions using Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, VBA, and SQL. • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve operational efficiency. • Develop workflows and automation solutions that enhance consistency, accuracy, and productivity. • Support, maintain and continuously improve existing tools, databases, dashboards and reporting solutions. • Improve data quality through validation, process improvements and system enhancements. • Prepare technical and user documentation, including process maps, user guides and implementation documentation. • Provide advice and guidance on Microsoft 365 capabilities, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled technologies. • Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote innovative ways of working across the branch. About You You are a proactive and solutions-focused professional with strong analytical and technical skills. You enjoy translating business needs into practical technology solutions and are committed to improving business processes through innovation and automation. You will demonstrate: • Experience developing solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies, including Power Automate and Microsoft Office applications. • Knowledge of Copilot Studio, VBA, SQL, or similar automation and development tools. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to improve business processes. • Experience producing reports, dashboards or business intelligence solutions. • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation and user guides. • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills. • The ability to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes within agreed timeframes. • A commitment to continuous learning and embracing emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions. Desirable Experience • Experience in business process improvement, workflow automation or digital transformation. • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, or business intelligence tools. • Experience working in an Australian Public Service environment or within complex operational service delivery teams. • Understanding of data governance, reporting and information management principles. • Maximum term contract with leave entitlements Why Join Us This role provides an opportunity to influence how technology improves service delivery within the National Redress Scheme.
