About the Opportunity We are looking to increase our pool of casual staff to work across weekend and/or weekday shifts at any or all of the following: • Gosford Hospital Emergency Department • Wyong Hospital Emergency Department • Long Jetty Urgent Care Centre Join our Emergency Department & Urgent Care Services team in a senior clinical leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to influence patient outcomes, drive service improvement, and support the development of a high-performing physiotherapy workforce. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll combine advanced clinical practice with leadership, mentoring, and quality improvement to deliver safe, evidence-informed care across the Central Coast. In this role you will: • Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment and clinical leadership to patients presenting to the Emergency Department and Urgent Care Services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. • Lead and support the ongoing development of physiotherapy services through quality improvement initiatives, evidence-informed practice, research and service evaluation. • Mentor, supervise and develop Physiotherapists (Levels 1–3), students and other staff, fostering clinical excellence and a culture of continuous learning. • Coordinate and manage clinical service delivery, balancing a complex clinical caseload while supporting workforce planning, professional standards and efficient team operations. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families and community providers to deliver coordinated care and improve patient flow, safety and health outcomes. We are looking for someone who has: • Extensive clinical experience in physiotherapy, with the ability to confidently assess and manage complex presentations in an acute healthcare setting. • Proven leadership skills, including experience mentoring and developing staff, supporting team performance, and fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. • Strong clinical judgement, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining high standards of patient care. • A demonstrated commitment to evidence-informed practice, quality improvement and innovation, with a passion for improving services and achieving better outcomes for patients.
