DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contract Supervisor (Construction projects) ( AO6) to join a Queensland Government organisation in Townsville. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction and contract administration professional with strong experience in supervising major building and engineering projects. About the Role As the Superintendent's Representative, you will provide operational contract supervisory services on major and complex construction projects, ensuring contractual obligations are met and projects are delivered to the required quality, time and cost standards. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting regular site inspections and monitoring project progress • Coordinating and participating in site meetings • Issuing Variation Orders and assessing contractual claims • Processing Contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) • Ensuring compliance with contract documentation and Building Act requirements • Preparing defects lists and managing rectification processes • Providing expert advice to support dispute resolution activities • Implementing contract administration policies, procedures and systems • Managing post-contract performance evaluations and reporting • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes • Mentoring Superintendent's Representatives and contract support staff • Providing leadership, performance management and guidance to team members About You To be successful, you will demonstrate: • Strong knowledge of contract administration processes for traditional and non-traditional contracts • Experience supervising construction and engineering contracts – ideally Government • Ability to interpret contract documentation and manage contractual issues Mandatory Requirements • Current Driver Licence Please ring Jacqui 07 3239 2500 with any enquiries Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.
