About this role

• Baseline Security clearance required • 10+12+12 month contract | August 2026 start • Proficiency in Qlik, SQL and Power BI required Our client, a prominent government agency dedicated to health research, funding, promotion and regulation, require the services of two Data Analysts/Data Scientists (APS6 equivalent). Duties of the Data Analyst/Data Scientist: • Deliver statistical analysis and data-driven insights to inform policy, program management and operational decision making; • Develop, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and analytical products to support stakeholder needs. • Support access to, integration and use of key data assets and feeds, including PLIDA, NHDH and other internal and external datasets, to strengthen data linkage, analytical capability and evidence-based decision-making; • Support the ongoing management, governance, enhancement and stakeholder use of the AIR Gov-to-Gov feed, ensuring the quality, reliability and accessibility of data provided to jurisdictions and other authorised users. Skills required: • High level of proficiency in Qlik, SQL and Power BI, with experience in other programming languages; • Demonstrated capability in data modelling, data integration and management of complex data structures; • Experience working with large and complex datasets; • Ability to write clearly for non-technical audiences.
