• Exciting opportunity within a leading Federal Government Agency • Initial 12 month contract + 12 months extension option • Rewarding hourly rates $ A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to focus on BAU operational support, including daily data delivery, month-end processing, and responding to data-related requests, while also contributing to continuous improvement of data pipelines and processes. The successful Data Engineer will be offered an initial 12 month contract + 12 months extension option and receive a rewarding hourly rate. The successful Data Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Develop, maintain, and optimise enterprise data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical code. • Define and maintain data modelling, peer review, development, and release standards. • Lead technical implementation activities from requirements analysis through to deployment and operational support. • Develop and maintain SQL analytical and ETL code supporting enterprise reporting and analytics. The successful Data Engineer will have experience in the following: • Demonstrated experience developing and supporting enterprise data warehouse and data integration solutions. • Strong expertise in SQL development, optimisation, tuning, and code review. • Demonstrated competency in at least two of the following technologies: MS SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks. • High level programming capability including experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python, SAS, R, or Java.
