• 12+ month contract - ASAP Start • NV1 Security Clearance required • ACT preferred - Hybrid considered • Develop, review, & maintain data governance artefacts Our client, a major Federal Government department responsible for defending Australia and its national interests, require the services of a Data Governance & Assurance Specialist. Duties of the Data Governance & Assurance Specialist • Support the organisation’s data governance & assurance activities; • Data Governance & Artefact Development; • Data Quality Assurance; • Data Health Monitoring & Executive Reporting; • Data Analysis & Visualisation; • Stakeholder Engagement; • Risk & Compliance. Skills and Experience Required • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SQL , Excel , Power BI , Tableau ); • Strong capability in producing executive-level reports and dashboards • Ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights; • Understanding of data management concepts ( metadata , lineage , lifecycle ); • Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK ); • Experience in data quality management , including rule design & monitoring • Ability to develop and review governance artefacts • Expertise in data visualisation and communicating insights clearly Required Qualifications • Tertiary qualifications in data, analytics, IT, business, or related fields; • DAMA CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional).
