• Exciting opportunity within a leading Federal Government Agency • Initial 12 month contract + 12 month extension • Rewarding hourly rates $ A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking multiple Data Engineers to design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate internal and external datasets into trusted, analysis-ready data assets for fraud detection and compliance analytics. The successful Data Engineers will be offered an initial 12 months contract with the view to be extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate. The successful Data Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate internal and external datasets into trusted, analysis-ready data assets for fraud detection and compliance analytics. • Develop and maintain Teradata SQL data models, pipelines, and curated data layers that support both enterprise data assets and the efficient execution of detection indicators and analytics. • Implement and enforce data engineering standards, including data modelling, metadata, lineage, and data quality controls to ensure reliable, governed, and audit-ready data environments. • Partner with analytics and intelligence teams to operationalise detection indicators and model outputs by embedding logic into production-ready data pipelines and reusable datasets. The successful Data Engineers will have experience in the following: • Strong data engineering expertise, including advanced Teradata SQL, data modelling, and development of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in complex environments. • Experience designing and managing data warehouse architectures and delivering reusable, high-quality data assets for analytics and operational use. • Proven ability to integrate complex datasets and operationalise detection logic, including embedding indicators and model outputs into production data pipelines. • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern data engineering practices, including performance optimisation and pipeline orchestration.
