About this role

• Contribute to a high-profile Federal Government program! • Initial 12-month contract + 2 x 12 month extensions! • Rewarding hourly rates! We are seeking Database Administrators to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Database Administrators will play a key role in deploying, managing and supporting enterprise database platforms, including relational and non-relational databases. The successful Database Administrators will secure an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended for 2 years and receive a rewarding hourly rate . The Database Administrators will be responsible for but not limited to; • Installing, configuring, and maintaining scalable, high availability database solutions • Managing database upgrades, capacity planning, backup, restore and disaster recovery processes • Undertaking performance testing, query tuning and database optimisation activities • Applying security controls including patching, user access management, & risk assessment • Developing technical documentation The Database Administrators will have experience in the following: • Prior experience as a Database Administrator across enterprise environments • SQL capability, including developing, deploying and maintaining scalable solutions • Experience across database platforms including OLAP , RDBMS, document stores and object stores • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database and system issues to minimise downtime • Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders This is an exciting opportunity for Database Administrators looking to join an innovative Federal Agency.
