DevOps Engineer - RESTful APIS, Gitlab, Jira

About this role

• Contribute to a Federal Government Agency! • Initial 12 month contract + 12 month extension • Multiple locations – QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW or SA! An innovative Federal Government Agency is looking to engage an experienced DevOps Engineer to support major ICT work programs delivering fit-for-need digital solutions. The successful DevOps Engineer will be responsible for supporting DevOps initiatives, full stack development, API implementation, dashboards, automation and CI/CD activities. The role will be offered as an initial 12 month contract with a 12 month extension option , with locations available across QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW and SA , and hybrid working arrangements available. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to; • Designing and implementing RESTful APIs to support application functionality • Developing and maintaining real-time dashboards for application performance and user metrics • Identifying technical issues and supporting resolution during delivery iterations • Developing and maintaining applications and scripts to reduce development effort • Integrating APIs with ALM tooling such as GitLab, Jira and Microsoft Teams The DevOps Engineer will have experience in the following: • Experience developing full stack applications using Node.js • Experience with frameworks such as React, Vue or Next.js • Demonstrated experience with Atlassian Jira, VSCode and DevOps practices • Experience implementing APIs and integrating with tools such as GitLab, Jira and Microsoft Teams • Experience developing dashboards for monitoring application performance and user metrics This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer looking to join a major Federal Government digital program.
