The Opportunity Are you a grants and procurement specialist who enjoys solving complex problems and working across a wide range of stakeholders? This is your opportunity to play a central role in supporting Australia’s bilateral engagement. Offered as a 12-month labour hire contract (available as APS6 or EL1), this role will be primarily responsible for developing Grants Opportunity Guidelines (GOGs) and associated procurement documentation, ensuring all activity aligns with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles (CGRPs) and departmental policy. This is a great opportunity to: • Apply your grants and procurement expertise to a program of national significance • Work closely with stakeholders across government and international development • Build specialist knowledge in Commonwealth grants and procurement frameworks The Role Reporting into the program team, your key responsibilities will include: • Developing Grants Opportunity Guidelines, risk assessments and associated documents in line with the CGRPs and the department’s non-ODA grants policy • Ensuring alignment with the department’s programming objectives internationally and with Australia’s International Development Programming Guide • Contributing to the full lifecycle of grants administration, including assessment, establishment, payment and reporting • Completing procurement documentation including Requests for Quote (RFQs), Requests for Tender (RFTs), evaluation reports and contracts Establishing and managing contracts to ensure compliance with the department’s procurement and financial policies The Ideal Person You will bring: • Demonstrated experience developing Grants Opportunity Guidelines (GOGs) within a government or international development context • Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Principles (CGRPs) and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Proven ability to develop procurement plans and establish contracts in line with departmental standards • Relevant tertiary qualifications in public administration, international development, or a related field • NV1 security clearance required.
