Gateway Engineer - Network, RHEL

We are seeking Gateway Engineers to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Gateway Engineer will join a high-performing security operations team supporting mission-critical network and gateway environments. The successful Gateway Engineer will secure an initial 12 month contract with the view to be extended for two years and receive a rewarding hourly rate . The Gateway Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to; • Supporting and maintaining critical network and gateway infrastructure • Translating logical network designs into secure and scalable physical implementations • Contributing to infrastructure upgrades, maintenance activities and recovery procedures • Identifying technical risks and developing mitigation strategies and alternative solutions • Supporting security incident investigations and the operation of security controls The Gateway Engineer will have experience in the following: • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and network environments • Strong knowledge of Linux environments, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux ( RHEL ) • Experience with systems installation, maintenance and operational support activities • Ability to investigate and resolve infrastructure and system issues in complex environments • Understanding of network architecture, security principles and infrastructure automation This is an exciting opportunity for Gateway Engineer looking to join an innovative Federal Agency .
