About the role We're currently seeking an experienced HR Truck Driver with Plant Experience to join a leading State Government organisation on a full-time temporary assignment based in the South West NSW region. The role will primarily be based around Griffith, with work also across Narrandera and Leeton as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in civil construction, road maintenance or infrastructure projects who enjoys working outdoors as part of a construction crew. You'll be responsible for operating a HR truck, a variety of civil plant, and assisting with labouring duties to support road construction and maintenance projects. This is an immediate start, offering full-time hours working a 9-day fortnight (76 hours per fortnight). Duties • Operate a HR truck to transport equipment, materials and plant to and from work sites. • Safely operate a range of civil plant including loaders, rollers (smooth drum, padfoot and multi-tyre) and mixers as required. • Assist with general road construction and maintenance labouring duties. • Support construction crews with site preparation, repairs and maintenance activities. • Carry out daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and plant. • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. • Travel to various work sites across the South West NSW region, including working away from home when required. Skills and Experience • Previous experience operating HR trucks within a civil construction or road maintenance environment. • Experience operating civil plant such as loaders, rollers and other construction machinery. • Current HR Driver Licence or higher (essential). • Construction White Card (essential). • Current Work on Foot (WOF) and Traffic Control (TC) tickets, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement. • Ability to work away from home and camp when required. Accommodation and applicable allowances are provided while working away. • Physically fit and able to undertake manual labouring duties when required. • Ability to pass a National Police Check.
