An established Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced ICT Configuration Manager to lead and enhance its Configuration Management Database (CMDB) capability. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate and trusted configuration data that supports service management, cyber security, compliance and operational outcomes. The ICT Configuration Manager will secure an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options , based in Canberra, ACT with hybrid working arrangements . The ICT Configuration Manager will be responsible for but not limited to: • Leading the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the CMDB framework and governance processes • Maintaining CMDB accuracy through data validation, reconciliation, reporting and quality assurance activities • Supporting change, release and incident management through effective dependency mapping and configuration relationships • Integrating cloud services, automation and emerging technologies into configuration management practices • Supporting audit, security and compliance requirements through effective configuration and asset management controls The ICT Configuration Manager will have experience in the following: • Demonstrated experience managing and improving CMDB and configuration management capabilities within complex ICT environments • Strong knowledge of ITIL and ITSM practices across configuration, change, incident, problem and asset management processes • Hands-on experience administering ServiceNow CMDB or a comparable ITSM platform, including reporting and governance functions • Proven ability to maintain data integrity, lifecycle management, dependency mapping and continuous improvement initiatives • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working across technical, security and business teams This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICT Configuration Manager to join a high-profile Federal Government environment.
