• Canberra, ACT • 12 + 12 + 12 - month contract (TSPV or TSPA security clearance required) • Industry certification or training in IDAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, Okta, Ping identity, ForgeRock, or IBM Security Verify. Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security, emergency management, boarder control, immigration and multicultural affairs, require the services of an IDAM Administrator . About the role Security Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting Identity and Access Management (IDAM) systems and services to support the secure delivery and use of enterprise information and technology resources. They will administer identity lifecycle processes, access control mechanisms, and authentication services using appropriate tools and techniques that conform to agreed process standards and industry specific regulations. Duties • Manage the administration of identity and access management systems, includes provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews. Ensures access control mechanisms align with security policies and regulatory requirements. - IRAG • Monitor and maintain IDAM system health, performance, and security posture. Configure tools and/or create scripts to automate identity lifecycle processes, access certifications, and audit reporting. Maintain operational procedures and checks that they are executed following agreed standards. - SCAD • Ensure that operational issues related to identity and access services are identified recorded, monitored and resolved. Provide appropriate status and other reports to specialists, users and managers. – ITPO • Investigate and resolve access violations, authentication failures, and identity related security incidents. Maintain records of access control activities and support audit and compliance activities. – SCTY • Work collaboratively with teams of technology specialists, security professionals and systems administrators, within the organisation and with external partners. Skills / Experience • Relevant tertiary and/or industry qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Information Technology, Cert IV in Cyber Security, CISSP, CISM, CompTlA Security+, SANS GIAC certifications); • Demonstrate ability to develop technical documentation and track work using collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA; • Troubleshoot identity and access issues using logging and monitoring Tools such as Splunk, Elastic Stack (ELK), or similar SIEM platforms; • Experience in Authentication and federation protocols including SAML, OAuth 2.0,OpenID Connect, RADIUS, and Kerberos; • Experience with automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or BASH to support identity lifecycle management and operational tasks; • Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or Delinea (formerly Thycotic); • Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipeline toolsets including GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift or similar applications.
