The successful Junior Network Engineers will contribute to the maintenance and operation of complex Cisco and Juniper networking environments while gaining exposure to large-scale secure ICT infrastructure. You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with the view to extend for a further 2 years and receive a rewarding hourly rate . The successful Junior Network Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Supporting the operation and maintenance of Cisco, Juniper and network infrastructure environments • Monitoring system performance, reliability and security using enterprise network tools • Assisting with incident, problem and change management activities • Performing system administration, backups, restores and account management tasks • Contributing to infrastructure documentation, process improvements and operational support activities The successful Junior Network Engineers will have: • Experience supporting Cisco and/or Juniper networking environments • Knowledge of core ICT infrastructure and network operations • Experience using monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Transport Controller or Splunk • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills • The ability to work collaboratively within a technical support environment This is a great opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure projects and join a highly skilled Federal Government team!
