Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Lead RF Security Assessment Specialist to support critical national security and technology programs. This role is suited to a senior technical professional with deep expertise in radio frequency (RF) engineering, specialist security testing and vulnerability assessment within highly sensitive environments. Working as part of a multidisciplinary technical team, you will provide expert advice, lead assessment activities, contribute to capability development initiatives and support the enhancement of technical security practices across complex systems and facilities. Duties and Responsibilities • Lead specialist RF security assessment and compliance activities. • Conduct technical testing, analysis and reporting to identify vulnerabilities and security risks. • Provide recommendations to strengthen system resilience and security controls. • Deliver technical briefings, training and knowledge transfer sessions. • Support the development and enhancement of testing methodologies and assessment frameworks. • Perform detailed RF measurements and analysis using specialised laboratory equipment. • Contribute to technical capability development initiatives. • Mentor and support the growth of junior practitioners. • Build and maintain strong relationships with government, industry and technical stakeholders. • Assist organisations in identifying, assessing and mitigating complex technical security risks. Education / Certifications Required • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Cyber Security or a related discipline are desirable. • Industry certifications relevant to RF engineering, technical security or vulnerability assessment are highly regarded. Knowledge / Skills Required • Extensive experience in RF engineering, testing or technical security assessment environments. • Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies and security risk identification. • Experience conducting complex technical investigations, testing and analysis activities. • Proven ability to prepare detailed technical reports and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders. • Hands-on experience with laboratory-grade RF measurement equipment and associated technologies. • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities. • Demonstrated ability to work independently while leading specialist technical activities. • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Highly Regarded Experience • Delivery of technical training, mentoring or capability development programs. • RF compliance testing. • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing disciplines. • Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies. • Experience within Defence, Intelligence, National Security or other highly regulated environments.
