Job Description Cleared is seeking Senior Cloud System Engineers to architect, implement and manage secure cloud infrastructure supporting mission critical digital services. These roles are responsible for designing cloud solutions, implementing security controls, optimising cloud performance and contributing to the deployment of CNAPP and SASE tooling across ASD cloud platforms. Engineers will work closely with product owners, developers and industry cloud providers to deliver feasible, secure and reliable cloud capabilities. Duties and Responsibilities • Architect and design cloud solutions to meet organisational technical and business requirements • Collaborate with cross functional teams to optimise cloud services for cost, performance, security and reliability • Work with product owners and developers to identify, test and assess security controls aligned to PSPF, ISM Essential Eight and ASD policy • Contribute to implementation of CNAPP and SASE tooling across cloud platforms • Implement tools and solutions as Proof of Concepts, including replicating production environments • Work closely with industry cloud providers to architect viable and secure solutions • Support infrastructure implementation, management and retirement across physical, virtual, networking and cloud environments Education/Certifications Required • Minimum 5 years' experience in cloud or AWS engineering • Experience implementing and managing security controls • Experience designing and managing IaaS and Azure PaaS environments • Experience with cloud backup and disaster recovery Knowledge/Skills Required • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud engineering • Strong understanding of IaaS features and architecture • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure PaaS features • Experience with cloud security controls and compliance frameworks • Experience with CNAPP and SASE tooling (highly desirable) • Ability to work within secure, high assurance environments • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Employment Benefits • Long term contract engagement within a mission critical national security environment • Opportunity to work with advanced cloud security technologies • Professional development across high assurance cloud platforms • Contribution to ASD's national security mission • Potential for contract extensions up to 36 months total Diversity and Inclusion We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
