• Long-term contract – 12 months + 2 x 12-month extensions (up to 3 years) . • Multiple locations – ACT, NSW, VIC, QLD & SA with hybrid flexibility! • Federal Government's Rewarding hourly rates $$ A leading Federal Government organisation is seeking to engage an experienced Backend Developer to support the delivery of high-quality software solutions across large-scale enterprise systems. The successful Backend Developer will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining robust backend services within a modern, agile delivery environment. The successful Backend Developer will secure an initial 12-month contract with extension options , based across multiple locations with hybrid working arrangements . The successful Backend Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to; • Designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs • Writing high-quality, maintainable code and supporting ongoing system improvements • Performing analysis, development, testing and deployment activities • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues • Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable solutions The successful Backend Developer will have experience in the following: • Strong experience with backend languages such as Java, Python, Ruby or Node.js • Experience developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB or DB2 • Understanding of Agile, DevOps, SecDevOps and CI/CD practices • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex ICT environments This is an excellent opportunity for a Backend Developer to secure a long-term contract (up to 3 years) within a high-performing Federal Government environment, offering attractive hourly rates and exposure to modern technologies and enterprise platforms.
