About this role

• Initial 12 month contract + 2 X 12 month extension option! • Enterprise-wide Program of work • Collaborative Team Environment A leading Federal Government department is looking to for an experienced Solution Architect/Cloud Architect to support a major multi-year program aimed at modernising and securing the department’s technology infrastructure, applications, and service delivery. The successful Solution Architect/ Cloud Architect will be responsible for the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-wide architecture to align with business objectives and technology strategies. The Solution Architect/Cloud Architect will be offered a 12-month initial contract with a possibility of 2 x 12 month extension option. The successful Solution Architect/Cloud Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Design and implement enterprise-level solutions that align with business objectives and IT strategy. • Assess and recommend cloud adoption strategies, SaaS solutions, and on-premise-to-cloud transitions. • Ensure seamless integration of CI/CD pipelines, embedding automated testing, security best practices, and quality assurance processes. • Participate in architectural reviews and governance processes The successful Solution Architect/ Cloud Architect will have experience in the following: • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or hybrid) and application migration strategies. • Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, quality assurance, and security integration. • Practical experience with IWS development, ensuring seamless integration within enterprise architectures. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical complexity with business objectives.
