About this role

DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operational Systems & Procedure Officer to join a leading South Australian organisation supporting critical water treatment operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional with strong operational documentation and process improvement experience to play a key role in developing and maintaining operational procedures that support safe, efficient and reliable plant operations. Working closely with operational teams and technical stakeholders, you'll translate practical plant knowledge into clear, user-friendly documentation while driving continuous improvement across operational systems. Key Responsibilities • Develop, review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and operational documentation. • Create start-up, shutdown, isolation and troubleshooting procedures for treatment plant operations. • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to ensure procedures accurately reflect plant processes. • Validate documentation through field observations and operational feedback. • Develop quick reference guides, alarm response procedures and operator support documentation. • Maintain document control, version management and review schedules. • Support operational improvements, plant modifications and system changes through updated documentation. • Assist with the development of training resources and operational knowledge materials. • Participate in operational reviews, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: • Experience developing operational procedures, SOPs or technical work instructions. • Strong technical writing and documentation skills. • The ability to interpret operational processes and translate them into clear, practical documentation. er • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working across document management systems. • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational teams. • A current Australian Driver's Licence. Experience within water, utilities, manufacturing, mining, industrial operations or other technical environments will be highly regarded.
