WFH hybrid • 12 + 24-month contract (Baseline security clearance required) • Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks About the role Each role will contribute to a large-scale ICT modernisation and risk reduction program focused on replacing, uplifting, and decommissioning legacy infrastructure and applications across the enterprise. These roles require professionals who can operate confidently in complex government environments, manage competing priorities, and engage effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external agencies. The focus is on improving service resilience, reducing cyber and operational risk, and ensuring delivery alignment across a highly interdependent program of work. Duties • Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring prioritisation aligns to business value and risk reduction; • Define and refine user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders; • Engage with business users, technical teams, vendors, and cross-agency stakeholders to shape requirements; • Support roadmap development and release planning for legacy uplift and modernisation initiatives; • Work closely with PMO / delivery leads on reporting, dependency visibility, and delivery tracking. Skills / Experience • A minimum of two years’ experience working within DCCEEW (or similar sized Commonwealth agency) on projects or programs associated with the decommissioning of legacy infrastructure, applications or services linked to a previous network environment; • A minimum of ten years’ experience leading projects or workstreams within complex ICT programs of work. • Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models) • Experience delivering or supporting infrastructure, application, or enterprise transformation initiatives • Understanding of legacy system migration, decommissioning, or modernisation programs.
