The HorizonOne People Solutions team is an award-winning team that provides outsourced recruitment solutions and scribe services to local, state and federal government organisations across Australia. Our People Solutions team encompasses scribing, large scale recruitment processes and campaigns (Graduate rounds, National bulk rounds etc). You will work alongside a highly experienced team of five staff in our Canberra Office who provide an in-depth induction; ongoing support and guidance; a stringent Quality Assurance framework; and project management oversight of all activities. The Opportunity We are expanding our pool of Scribing Consultants with Positive Vetting security clearances in response to growing demand, recently secured contracts, and a strong pipeline of work across our government scribing and Recruitment Process Outsourcing services with secure clients. Our People Solutions team is here to support you and encourage resilience, self-care, and appropriate escalation of concerns. Our senior staff collectively bring over 30 years of combined experience. This includes supporting you when assignments involve high-pressure or sensitive scenarios. We manage psychosocial impacts and sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. The Role As a HorizonOne Scribe, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of recruitment activities from single processes to bulk rounds, specialist assignments, and large-scale campaigns. Your work plays an important role in delivering professional, transparent, merit based and defensible selection processes. Depending on the assignment, you may be involved in tasks such as shortlisting, reference checking, transcription of panel interviews, and preparing selection committee reports, among other core scribing services. The role is casual, and client driven. You will maintain a high duty of care to clients, candidates, and colleagues, ensuring all interactions are professional, respectful, and compliant with HorizonOne policies. You will also adhere to ethical standards and government organisational policies to ensure that recruitment processes are conducted with privacy and confidentiality. The Ideal Person We are seeking individuals who bring the following attributes and skills: Required: • Ability to work on-site in Canberra • Excellent communication skills • Excellent ability to take comprehensive notes and prepare high-quality written reports that are accurate, clear, and concise • Capacity to work autonomously and as a team; meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities • Readiness to be available, flexible, reliable, and exercise sound judgement • Excellent attention to detail • High awareness of privacy, confidentiality, and the responsible handling of personal information • A genuine commitment to service excellence • A willingness to work in line with HorizonOne’s expectations, aligning with our processes, values, and client-focused approach Desirable: • Knowledge of government recruitment practices, government classification structures, and/or relevant experience in public sector recruitment or human resources administration • Previous senior government or scribing experience • Previous experience in shortlisting candidate applications • Ability and willingness to attend in-person scribing assignments • Ability to facilitate assessment centres Due to the nature of the environments you’ll be working in, successful applicants will need to hold a current Positive Vetting security clearance. Applicants with Negative Vetting 2 clearances could also be considered.
